Solihull Green Party announces candidate list for 2021 local elections

14 April 2021

Solihull Green Party has announced its slate of candidates for the forthcoming local elections to be held on May 6th 2021, where we aim to add to our tally of fourteen councillors, and potentially tip Solihull Council into No Overall Control:

  • Bickenhill - Stephen Rymer
  • Blythe - Rachael Douglas
  • Castle Bromwich - Ian Shore
  • Chelmsley Wood - Sheshendra Sheshabhatter
  • Dorridge and Hockley Heath - Iona McIntyre
  • Kingshurst and Fordbridge - Nathan Moses
  • Knowle - Mark Amphlett
  • Meriden - Alison Wilson
  • Shirley East - Antony Lowe
  • Shirley South - Max McLoughlin
  • Shirley West - Maggie Allen
  • Smith's Wood - Jean Hamilton
  • St Alphege - Trevor Barker

(Wards in bold are seats where are defending; wards in italics are seats we're looking to win where we already have Green councillors)

This year we bid farewell to Chris Williams, who is standing down as a Chelmsley Wood councillor to focus on other activities; however in Shesh we have an awesome ready-made replacement who will serve Chelmsley Wood residents every bit as well as Chris has since 2012. If you can help with delivering, door-knocking, leaflet-stuffing or social media work to support our election campaigns, please get in touch at coordinator@solihullgreenparty.org.uk
